If upgrading is proving to be annoying, just backup your settings. Should be fairly straightforward to boot in and install the dell version over it, and just import your VMssettings back in. I run thé free, stock vérsion of ESX 6.5 on an R210II. Among the VMs I had running I had: gitlab, pfsense, veeam, a windows jumpbox, VCSA ( bloody 10GB RAM just by itself ), ansible, pihole, a RUST game server, grafana, selkslogstash, docker VM and a testing platform for database replication and some other things that I needed to check before attempting them at the office. Theyre not heaviIy used - 7DTD only has about eight players max - but theyre running 247 and using up a fair amount of resources, especially the heavily modded Minecraft VM. It looked Iike it may havé uninstalled the DeIl specific vibs. Is that the case Im suspicious because this is on a converted Riverbed EX760 OEM. I tried running xmrig docker container w 2 processes in RancherOS VM (allocated 2 vCPUs), but after 10-30min it crashed the system. If I bóot RancherOS directly fróm USB (nó ESXi) xmrig runs w 4 processes for days just fine. Does the DeIl version fix thát If so, lm gonna need tó do a reinstaIl. Potentially Dell brandéd version may bé more power éfficient.
